When we begin practising sadhana, we encounter many difficulties. The Guru comes to our rescue. He encourages us; he forewarns us of the dangers; he shows us the easiest pathways; and he inspires us by his example.

Meditate upon the divine virtues of God and Guru. And then, visualize these qualities flowing from Them to you. In this manner, feel yourself becoming serene, tranquil, generous, loving, and happy.
